Bat Warranty
✅ What IS Covered (Limited Warranty)
Handle Failure: This is the only specific manufacturing fault explicitly covered. If the bat handle becomes loose or detached due to improper installation (not firmly fixed into the blade), the company will replace the handle.
Note: The customer is responsible for all freight/shipping costs associated with the replacement.
❌ What is NOT Covered
The warranty is void, and the bat will not be replaced or repaired for free in the following cases:
1. User Error & Play Damage:
I. Improper use, bad shots, and poor timing.
II. Damage from playing shots off the edge or from yorkers hitting the toe.
Bats that are poorly prepared (e.g., not knocked in properly) or unofficially modified.
2. Environmental Damage:
I. Damage from extreme weather conditions (extreme heat or extreme moisture).
II. Water damage from playing on damp or wet pitches.
3. Improper Equipment Use:
I. Damage caused by using non-leather balls, composite balls, or bowling machine balls.
II. The company emphasizes that higher-grade (softer) willow bats must be used with top-quality, softer leather balls.
4. Normal Wear & Tear:
Small cracks: These are considered normal and do not affect performance. They indicate the bat needs more oiling and knocking. They should be repaired locally.
Cosmetic changes: The natural deterioration of the bat's look and appearance over time and with use is expected. A bat is not a lifetime product.
Key Takeaways & Customer Responsibilities
Warranty Period: 6 months from purchase date.
Proof of Purchase: Must be provided to make a claim.
Freight Costs: Customer pays all shipping costs for handle replacements.
Normal Maintenance: Small cracks and cosmetic wear are not defects. It is the customer's responsibility to oil, knock, and maintain the bat properly.
Use Correct Equipment: Only use quality leather cricket balls. Avoid hard composite balls and bowling machines.
Handle with Care: Softer, higher-grade bats (like Grade 1) require more careful handling and precise timing.
In short: This warranty is very limited and primarily covers a catastrophic failure of the handle due to a manufacturing fault. Almost all other types of damage, including common issues like cracking, are considered results of normal use or user error and are not covered.
